Rich Dad, Rich Son

Once upon a time there was a rich man living in a big mansion. He had a son who was not always happy with what he had. The wealthy man came up with a brilliant idea to teach his son. The wealthy man decided to take his son on a trip to a poor country so that he could indirectly teach his son how lucky he was and learn to be thankful for the wealth he had.

The wealthy man brought his son to visit a small village with poor families. They spent two days staying in that village to observe the villagers’ ways of lives. People of all ages were working so hard from dawn to dust on their small farms hoping to have enough crops to feed their families.

On the way back home from their trip, the wealthy man asked his son, “How was the trip, honey? What do think about their lives? What have your learned from them?”

The son answered, “It is totally different between our life and theirs. We have almost everything. We don’t really have to worry about what food we will have to eat. We have waiters and waitress to serve us days and night. We have beautiful lanterns imported from foreign countries. The people in that village had to work so hard for others just to earn a little. They grow their own food. Moon and stars are the sources of light at night for them.

We have beautiful swimming pool with crystal clear and clean water while they have to go far to the stream to bath. We have tough walls to protect us but those people have their neighbors and friends to protect them. The son finally added that, “I’m sorry and very thankful to have such family and you are the best dad ever.”
